McKeever Rowan Solicitors in Dublin, Ireland - Law Firm in the IFSC

About McKeever Rowan

McKeever & Son, Solicitors, was founded by Francis G. McKeever in 1898. The Firm was originally located in Foster Place, College Green, in the centre of Dublin's banking district and developed a reputation and an expertise in the area of banking law and commercial litigation. With the rapid development of the Irish economy in the 1990's, this firm recognised the need to provide a broader range of services and greater level of specialisation to it's clients. This was achieved through the merger with Rowan & Company,Solicitors which had an established reputation in the area of corporate and commercial law, and acted for a significant number of public companies. The resulting entity, McKeever Rowan, is now based at 5 Harbourmaster Place in Dublin's International Financial Services Centre, Dublin 1, the centre of Ireland's financial services district.

Through specialisation and the introduction of technology, McKeever Rowan has managed to maintain the Firm to a size that enables its lawyers to provide a service of a high standard, quality, and excellence, but yet enables the client to have direct access to the lawyer.

The Firm has numerous practice areas captured within three main departments:

  1. Corporate Services, Communications & Technology

  2. Property & Private Client

  3. Litigation

Each department is headed by a senior partner, and is divided into a number of specialist units. These units have been developed to maximise the particular talents and experience of our professional staff. Our corporate lawyers, litigators and other specialists work together in order to deal most effectively with our clients' problems. We recognise that our clients exist in a highly competitive world. We believe that through our expertise and the accumulation of many years of commercial law and litigation experience, that we are in a position to deliver a comprehensive range of legal services in a prompt and most cost effective manner.

Conflicts of Interests

Procedure for preventing conflicts of interests:

McKeever Rowan are concerned to protect the legal rights and commercial interests of its clients. Taking into account the size of the Irish economy, we are aware of the need to avoid both technical conflicts of interest and the representation of parties whose interests might conflict with the commercial interests of other clients.

The Firm has developed a file opening procedure that will identify potential conflicts.

The firm has a written policy that deals with conflicts of interest and any identified conflict would be handled in accordance with this policy.

If a conflict arises after instructions are accepted from both clients, we will cease to act for both. In the event of a conflict, the matter is referred to the Managing Partner for a decision.

Liaison with Paris Office

McKeever Rowan also operates in Paris at 71 rue du Faurbourg St. Honore, 75008 Paris, in conjunction with a Parisian firm of lawyers, Wenner & Cie. This arrangement enables us to provide a specialised and comprehensive service to Irish clients who wish to engage in business in France.
